Day 1: San Jose / Uvita
Land in San José, meet your Edu Tours leader and head down to the South Pacific where we will start our Adventure in a small town called Uvita.
Day 2: Marino Ballena National Park
Wake up for an early breakfast and get ready for a half –day boat tour to Isla Ballena and the Whale's Tale where you will have the opportunity to snorkel and learn more about the marine life and the main reason why whales come to this specific place, hopefully spot dolphins and whales along the way. Enjoy a delicious Costa Rican meal before heading off to surf lessons in the afternoon. Spend the night helping the community with a recycling project, we are going to build trash cans with water bottles.
Day 3: Welcome to the Jungle
Today is when the physical adventure begins! The morning starts with a two hour hike through the lush rainforest. On the way you will stop in a botanical garden where we are going to learn about medicinal plants and also try lots of different fruits. In the afternoon we are going to rappel a 100 feet waterfall. Spend the night in a fully equipped cave hidden behind the waterfall, the place is rustic but there are bathrooms, kitchen are and beds, it's magical!
Day 4: Snake Zoo and community service
After breakfast you are going to hike to get to another waterfall and also enjoy one the best lookout point of the area, on the way back to Uvita we are going to stop in a Snake Zoo where we will learn a lot about this animals and the diversity that we have in Costa Rica.
In the afternoon we are going to help low income families to try to improve their living conditions, we are going to be working in small construction projects with the families.
Day 5: Visit the Boruca Indigenous Tribe
Today we are going to visit Borucas village, this indigenous tribe is located among the Talamanca Mountains, we will spend the day learning about their culture, legends and stories. They will also demonstrate the jicara carbing, mask carbing and drum making.
Day 6: Welcome to the Osa Peninsula
Get ready to discover one of the most biological diverse areas in the world, today we are going to visit Corcovado National Park, on the way we are going to stop in Carate where we are going to learn and help a group of people that is trying to preserve the marine turtles in Corcovado. After sharing some time with them we are going to hike to get to the Lodge Camp where we would stay that night.
Day 7: La Leona
Today we are going to hike in the Corcovado National Park and try to spot as many animals as we can! Keep your eyes open for monkeys, scarlet macaws, sloths and lots of different animals. Our guide would also teach us about the importance of this National Park and we is going to explain about all the different species that we can find here, that's the main reason why this place is so Magical.
In the afternoon we are going to do a beach clean up and then we are going to have some time off to relax and enjoy the beauty of Corcovado.
Day 8: Sierpe River
Wake up early in the morning and head and it is time to go to Sierpe river, where you will take a boat tour, enjoy this beautiful place and the wildlife. It is really common to see crocodiles, reptiles, exotic birds and fish.
Day 9: Savegre River
Today is a day packed with adrenaline and excitement as you prepare to experience the beauty and exhilaration of whitewater rafting on the Savegre River. The Savegre is considered one of the most beautiful rivers to raft in the central Pacific due to the lush greenery, the narrow canyons, and above all, the exciting class III and IV rapids. After a full day on the river return to San Jose for your last dinner in Costa Rica.
Day 10: Good Bye and See you soon!
Your adventures have been numerous and thrilling, but it is now time for you to return home. Pura vida!
